Original WWII 1943 dated German MP40 manufactured by Erma with waffenstamps intact. This machine gun has been de-milled and reassembled on an inert ATF approved display receiver. The modern replacement receiver tube and simulated “bolt” are a single, non-moving piece. As such, it is 100% legal to own without a tax stamp and is a non-firearm. With the exception of the receiver and “bolt” everything is functional and live including the lower receiver, fire control group, stock, magazine and barrel. The paratrooper jump bag (top) and leather Wehrpass wallet (lower left of picture) are modern reproductions, but the sling, NDSAP armband, Wehrpass and Wehrpass Ausweiss are original war trophy bring/backs and are all included. This gun is from my personal historical arms collection and would be suitable for a museum display.
(I also have a Thompson M1928A1 listed, I’d sell both the Thompson and the MP40 together for $10k or I would trade both for an FNH M249S).
Price is absolutely firm. Transaction will occur at my bank branch in Billings. A rare, functional, pre-86 transferable MP40 will run you $20k+. If you want a real WWII MP40 of exceptional quality for your collection, this is the most affordable option.
