This is Mossberg’s MVP chambered in .308 that accepts M1A M14 Magazines. This is the 27732, Varmint Edition, that they no longer make. They went with a shorter barrel on their current ones. They also did what I had planned for this one, and dropped it into an aluminum chassis. I had a change of plans when I scored the Savage Ashbury for a great price. This is new in box, and looks great with the factory stock. I just cannot justify two .308 long range rifles.
It has great reviews online, the chambering is .308 Winchester and 7.62×51 NATO interchangeably. Magazine is 10 shot factory Mossberg MMR, but this rifle will accept any Springfield Armory M1A or M14 Magazine. Just for kicks I tried a PMag and it fit fine. The barrel is fluted with a 1-10 twist, with button rifling, and full float. The trigger is about 3 pounds, a nice quiet safety, weight of the rifle is just under 9 pounds, and length of pull is 13 inches. I can email current photos, since mine are not compatible with this system, and I used stock photos found online.
