How do I edit my ad photo order and set my featured or thumbnail image?

I’ve had this question asked a few times over the years and figured it was time to build a how to. Please ask questions and comment in the comments below so that other users can benefit. If you like what you see happening here and want to help fund this site, please Feature your ads, Donate or always Shop through the Sponsor Shop when you buy online to help fund this Made in Montana gun site.

Users who upload more than one photo can have them display in whatever order they want on their ad photo album. They can also set which image displays as their thumbnail image on the Classifieds page. The featured image also displays as the photo that displays when your ad is shared on other websites like Facebook and Twitter and even at this site in the Community News Feed.

#1 – To edit your uploaded image order or to change which of your images are featured, log in and click Manage Ads from the main menu.

#2 – Click and drag images to the same order you want them to appear in your ad. If that’s all you want to do, simply click Update at the bottom and you’re done. Your images will appear in your album in that same order.

#3 – To change which image displays as your Featured Image, click Edit on the photo you want to make the featured image.

#4 – On the edit image page, select Use this image as featured image. The click Update Description. The close the edit box.

#5 – Once back on the edit ad page, click Update again to make the changes stick. That’s it.

Visit the Classifieds page to make sure the Featured Image is the one you wanted. Repeat as necessary. Visit your ad to make sure that your photos appear in the order you want. These two functions are separate. Just because you upload in a specific order, that does not mean they will appear in that order. Simply click and drag them to appear in the order you want them to appear and reset the featured image however you want. Only ONE featured image per ad is possible.

Ask your questions about this function below. Send me a private message if you prefer to keep it private.

A made in Montana website developer building independent online tools to help us promote, protect and exercise our firearms freedom. I am a 20 year veteran operator and trainer in the emergency roadside service industry. Starting with a childhood and teen years spent in school and family construction in Miles City, MT. Then beyond to Reno, Las Vegas and Northern California after politicians ruined the economy in the late 70's. After having a child my amazing wife and I moved from Tracy, California home to raise him in the last best place. My health since has now restricted me from working outside of my home and here we are today providing a different public service because there is nothing more satisfying. VOTE to help keep Montana pro-gun and I'll keep building and maintaining tools for us to exercise our RTKBA locally online. Feature ads or donate to help keep the lights on and keep me motivated.

I doubt there will be many deportations. The campaign is over. the rhetoric is dead. Soon Trump will go in the RINO mode.

that’s funny as hell !!! i didn’t have to put up with anything like that.. i entered the air force in ‘74 when we were still up to our ass in vietnam and recruits were showing up after making a decision in front of the judge; jail time or military service... our “di’s” were more like sports coaches and it soon became obvious to me, they were sick of the punks showing up daily... i was a little too gung-ho and they knew it... and they had a funny way of showing their appreciation... lackland didn’t have an “obstacle course” like i’ve seen in movies but they did have something like one they called the “confidence course”... after running it, i couldn’t help gushing about how much fun it was to my comrades... on thanksgiving, while everybody was stuffing turkey parts down their gullets, i had “base detail”... i had to guard the “confidence course”... 😉 i got through it four times and about half way through my fifth attempt, a blue van showed up to take back to the barracks... as i walked through the door, i saw my di letting a very little smile escape but only for a second or two... everybody else had just been through a white glove inspection and i was headed for the showers...
