Updated Scope! Decided to swap out to a smaller scope that fits the rifle better. Mint Gloss Leupold Vari-X II 3-9×40. Target Dot.
Winchester Model 100 chambered in the RARE 243 Winchester. 70% of these were made in 308, 20% in 243, and 10% in 284, making this one rather rare. All original with nice wood grain figured stock with no cracks or damage of any kind. Just some honest bumps and bruises from use. This is a semi- auto rifle that is very reliable, very little recoil making it great for wife or younger shooters. I have never had a malfunction.
Sitting on top is a Mint classic gloss Leupold Vari-X II 3-9×40 with a target dot reticle mounted in classic gloss steel rings. The reticle is a fine duplex crosshair with a dot in the middle. These classic scopes are harder and harder to come by, and bring top dollar on eBay or gun sites. Factory sling swivels and a leather basket weave sling custom made to match the stock. 22” barrel with factory sights. I would say the bluing is 98%. This is a very nice classic rifle!
Rifle will also come with 3 Original Winchester magazines. One model 100 magazines that hold the bolt open on the last round. Two model 88 magazine, which are exactly the same, but does not hold the bolt open. Some people prefer do to the absence of a bolt release. The magazines alone are worth $80+ a piece. I just sold one on eBay for $89+shipping.
I am pricing this Way cheaper than what I’ve seen them go for, and the value of the classic Leupold scope. Price is firm. I will not go any lower. Thanks!
