Winchester Model 100 chambered in the RARE 243 Winchester. 70% of these were made in 308, 20% in 243, and 10% in 284, making this one rather rare. Early model with a 5 digit serial number. All original with nice wood grain figured stock with no cracks or damage of any kind. Just some honest bumps and bruises from use. Factory sling swivels. 22” barrel with factory sights. I would say the bluing is 98%. This is a very nice classic rifle!
I recently sourced a brand new in the box gloss Redfield 4-12x44mm with an Adjustable Objective made in 1977. I also sourced brand new Classic dual dovetail Weaver gloss steel rings and a one piece base to mount it in making this setup period correct. This was not an easy task, as not much is available for bases anymore, especially with the correct offset.
Rifle will also come with 2 Original Winchester magazines. One model 100 magazines that hold the bolt open on the last round. One model 88 magazine, which is exactly the same, but does not hold the bolt open, which some people prefer. The magazines alone are worth $80+ a piece. I just sold one on eBay for $89+shipping.
I am pricing this cheaper than what I’ve seen them go for, and the value of the classic Redfield scope. Price is firm. Thanks!
