400.00 off from now until Christmas! This is the iconic Marlin 39 (not 39A) rifle for sale. This rifle is 100 years old, manufactured in the mid 1920’s. It has very nice buttstock and forearm and the bluing is very good as well. The receiver is case colored. It has a very nice Lyman aperture sight and is extremely accurate. Several years ago I hit steel targets at 200 yards consistently with this rifle and I haven’t touched it since then. I have had this rifle for many, many years. It just sits in my safe unused year after year so maybe someone would like to have it. Please note–in its earlier years a previous owner had mounted what I was told was a Stith scope mount and subsequently removed it so there are some holes in the receiver that accommodated the scope mount. Please see pictures. Doesn’t hurt the operation of the rifle in any way but they are there. These Marlin 39’s are very rare and seldom show up for sale. These sell on Gunbroker for 2,000 to 5,000 depending on condition. This has a super smooth, buttery action and has a very light trigger pull. This rifle has the inspector’s star stamping on the tang. Considering the scope mount holes on this rifle, I would like to get $1,400 for this one. Please consider the aperture sight, it is worth $200.00 by itself. Thanks for your time.
