Glowplugs, harness, and module replaced last summer. Used BOSCH plugs as they are hotter. Had no problem starting this winter without using the block heater.
I always run a mix of TC-W3 and power service cetane boost at each fill-up. The ultra low sulfer diesel isnt helpful for the HEUI fuel system. The TC-W3 is the cheapest effective additive to add lubricity to the fuel. Check out Bob is the oil guy on this.
I replaced all the injectors when I got this in 2016. Went though the top end, replaced the oil cooler, dummy plugs, added the regulated return, deleted the EGR, added the oil bypass and coolant filter. Replaced the plastic intercooler tubes, changed the turbocharger oil tube to a solid. Replaced the STC fitting. This truck already had the bracket on it, so Ford must have added those at some point. Replaced the fuel injection harness. Replaced the cracked Y pipe (have to when you delete the EGR cooler). This truck never popped the EGR cooler. It’s not studded.
