Selling an all-original Remington Model 1917 bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06. Barrel is dated 1918 with the flaming ordnance bomb stamp, confirming WWI production. Receiver and barrel are both Remington-marked. The stock is in solid condition with period markings, including a unique “3GM – K” rack/unit stamp and “1T / 61” beneath the trigger guard area. The bolt is Eddystone-marked.
Its mechanically sound with a strong action and clean bore. In some of the photos you can see the cleaning kit that was in the back of it. I have no idea how old it is, but it will be included with purchase of the rifle.
This is a great example of America’s primary infantry rifle of WWI— great as a historic piece but also an excellent shooter. Perfect if you want something, you don’t feel bad about taking to the range. I did a search on gunbroker and I’m including the prices these are selling for in their original condition without being sported because even the sporter versions of this are still selling for $1300+
(BAYONET IS NOT INCLUDED ITS JUST TO SHOW IT FITS)
