I have an excellent condition Remington 870. The date stamp on the barrel puts it at either 1961 or 1987, but based on the nice blueing and chrome bolt, I would guess 1961. That’s if the barrel is original to the gun; it looks like it is, but I don’t know how to tell for sure. This has been drilled and tapped for a scope mount. The barrel has slug sights. This is a smooth bore, not rifled. The furniture is LE trade synthetic from a different shotgun; I’m sure this had wood furniture originally. This was my go to for river bottom hunting here in the 170. I have other shotguns, so this one sits.
This is a much better quality 870 than is being put out now; extremely smooth action.
