A rare find – this Springfield M1 Garand features a 5-digit serial number, placing its production in September 1940. It retains the early-style milled trigger guard and a WWII-era walnut stock. The SA cartouche at the wrist is faint but still visible. Barrel is dated August 1943. Metal shows no rust, pitting, or significant wear, and the bore remains strong with sharp rifling. This is a true WWII veteran rifle, not a postwar mix-master build. Txt 406-606-3895
