This is a Glenfield 60 made by Marlin and is identical to the Marlin model 60. This rifle was made in 1971. In the 1960’s-70’s Marlin made these rifles and sold them at Sears, Montgomery Wards, True Value and Western Auto and other retailers and hardware stores across the country under the Glenfield name. This is one of those. I bought it 25 years ago and after seeing how nice it was, I decided to just put it in my safe and it has been sitting there, untouched, since then. The man I bought it from said he never fired it and I know I have never fired so I believe it is likely new and unfired. I cannot prove it has never been fired but I can attest to the fact this rifle is in pristine condition. The stock and bluing is pretty much perfect. I will include a brick (500 rounds) of 22 ammo as part of the sale. Contact me with any questions. This would make a perfect Christmas gift for someone.
