The FN-49 is the precursor to the FN FAL. They are incredible rifles, but were produced at a time when the world was transitioning from full power battle rifles (i.e. M1 Garand) to rifles chambered in smaller intermediate cartridges (i.e. M16), so they were never adopted large scale. Around 176,000 FN-49s were produced, but only 8012 of those were the Venezuelan model. It is the only FN-49 configuration that was chambered in 7x57mm Mauser and included a muzzle brake. The internal magazine has a capacity of 10 rounds and is loaded with stripper clips (included, see below).
This is an excellent shooting rifle and is a beautiful addition to any collection. It is in great condition for a 75 year old rifle and has all original parts. I will include 2 boxes of 7x57mm Mauser 140gr FMJs and ten stripper clips. There is no box, case, or manual included, but I have been able to find digital copies of the manual online.
I am looking to get cash only for this rifle.
