This belonged to my dad. I’m thinning out the collection of obsolete and military military caliber rifles. The bluing is nice and glossy and deep. The bore is shiny with defined rifling.
There’s a few scratches on the barrel. The stock has beautiful grain pattern, but is showing its age. It could use a steady hand to re-cut the checkering and a re-finish. It has an old weaver scope if you’re interested. I disassembled the bolt just to clean the spring and firing pin. The trigger is on the heavy side but crisp with no creep. ***380 rounds*** of Norma Oryx 180 grain etc. I’ve scoured the internet and havent found ANY 308 Norma Mag ammo either new or old. Norma is not currently manufacturing 308 Norma ammo. Most of what I have is newer production within 10 possibly, some is older production, probably 20 years old possibly? A couple of the boxes appear to be from the 1980s. Basically, buy the ammo and get a rifle with it. I’ll be out of town 5/5-5/9. I haven’t shot it. But I can sight it in if someone would like me to do that. I will have to use some of the ammo, of course. There will have been a low round count through this custom build. It hasnt been fired in decades, but my dad was very particular about the accuracy of his rifles, for what thats worth. I wont ship, sorry, I dont have time for the hassle of FFL transfers. Thanks.
