1962 Ruger Deerslayer semi-auto 44 magnum carbine, 4+1 tube fed. Super cool little rifle, bore looks great but the stock is pretty rough with some gouges under the ejection port, metal finish is good overall. Functioned OK but didn’t like the SJFP ammo I had to try through it, I imagine with FMJ or more rounded bullets it feeds fine, if anything it’s a bit over-sprung in the lifter. Don’t put open lead bullets through these, like a Desert Eagle they’re gas operated and lead fouling can plug the gas port.
