Indeed, that's pretty much what happens. Most revisions over the centuries act to whitewash or lessen the reality or impact of passages which are clearly immoral, yet were acceptable in the times before the revisions - the revisions usually act to try to turn former literal "gospel truth" to "oh well, you see; that's just metaphor stuff now, not literal - parable & storytelling and what-not" ... because certain claims are either 100% disproven by science as impossible (e.g. the flood story among thousands of other examples), or the evil and immorality lauded, praised, exalted, celebrated, and even committed by God and his surrogates becomes so obviously immoral under the changing standards of mankind that they must somehow be downplayed, lest you lose a lot of supporters from the masses to your particular religion, whatever it may be. Makes perfect sense when you understand the truth - that religion and "god" was created by the mind of, and in the image of, man -- not the other way around. Same reason the Mormons suddenly decided in 10978 that Joseph Smith had it all wrong back in the steampunk era, and viola - it was suddenly A-OK, according to the 'prophet', for black folks to become priests and enter the temples. We didn't REALLY. Not those of us who follow this stuff. We voted for Vivek or someone else in the primaries .... But the fact remains that in the general, ALL of us normal, hardworking, law-abiding people did and DO STILL know, that the WORST manifestation of Trump is still better - and not just better; not just twice as good; not just 5 or 10 times better; but somewhere roughly 10,000 TIMES better than the BEST dim-rat available -- to be putting in the white house. And that's why the swamp creature Trump won..... And the "BEST" dim-rat would even include testicle among that crowd, who actually voted FOR the fraud / scam known as the 'inflation reduction act', even though he's a supposed 'moderate'. This is just because Trump has a few decent policies, which is a few more than the zero decent policies possessed by the modern dim-rat party. By the way, the entire existence and passage of the "inflation reduction act", which increased inflation, spent money we didn't have on various climate grifts, and specically encoded blatant hatred and financial discrimination against white people (and ONLY white people) is the perfect encapsulation of the well-known, proven principle that "Anything a modern dim-rat claims isn't just merely false; it's GUARANTEED to be the exact polar opposite of all known truth, demonstrable reality, and mountains of evidence.
