Top Winchester 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine with shotgun butt is a .30 caliber, its serial number proving it to have been manufactured in 1920. This is an extremely excellent example with 98% blue on barrel, magazine and lever; fade blue on receiver and barrel band, with a bright, shiny bore. Its stock and forearm wood is excellent, without splinter, crack, chip or damage. It loads, ejects, fires and shoots exactly as it should. $1299.
Bottom Winchester 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine with carbine butt is a .25-35 caliber, its serial number showing it to have been manufactured in 1924. This also is an extremely excellent example with close to 100% blue on the barrel and magazine, 75% blue on the receiver, and slightly thinning blue on the forward barrel band and the lever. The ladder sight snaps up and down as it should but the spring that holds the elevation scale into place is non-existant. Its wood forearm and stock are excellent: no chips, scratches, cracks, chips or damage. It loads, ejects, fires and shoots exactly as it should. It also has a bright, shiny bore. $1399
Saddle Ring Carbines were entry level Winchesters in their day. Most of them road around on a horse or lay in the bottom of a boat. It’s hard to find Saddle Ring Carbines in the condition these 2 are in. I need $1299 for the .30 caliber, $1399 for the .25-35 or $2600 if you buy them both.
The third firearm offered here is a Smith and Wesson 36-1 Chief’s Model, .38 caliber in its matching serial numbers original box, the only part of this offering that shows wear since it was moved from home to home throughout its life. The good thing is that it protected this mint condition Smith and Wesson.. All the original paperwork accompanying this revolver comes with it along with the factory supplied cleaning tool. This revolver was never fired, shows no marks or wear, no turn ring on the cylinder, or any other type of mark, nick, scratch, dimple, etc. I believe this revolver was manufactured in 1978; it’s 47 years young and still looks new; $899.
