Here are two very rare and very nice Marlin 39 and 39A rifles. First one is a Marlin model 39 made in the mid 1920’s. It has an original, period correct, Lyman aperture sight installed. This sight is worth 250.00 by itself. It has an 24 inch octagon barrell. This rifle is all original and is in excellent condition. The finish is all original, it has not been re-blued or refinished or modified in any way. This is a 100 year old rifle and highly sought after and collectible. Magazine tube functions properly. It feeds and ejects as designed. The price for this vintage rifle is $3,000.00 with the sight. The second rifle is a first-year Marlin 39A made in 1939. It is extremely rare. I have collected Marlin 39’s and 39A’s for years and have engaged in hundreds of hours of research on these rifles. I have never personally seen another one made in 1939. I have seen a couple for sale online but I have never seen another one in person. First year 39A’s made in 1939 are rare. Even more rare than the model 39 described above. What makes it even more rare is the fact that it was manufactured without the trademark Marlin bullseye in the buttstock. A very few early 39A’s did not have the bullseye installed, this is one of those rifles. This rifle is also all original without any alterations, modification, re-bluing or re-finishing. It also feeds and ejects properly. This rifle has a 24 inch round barrel. This rifle is priced at $1,500.00. Both rifles have case hardened receivers and levers.
