For sale are two Marlin 39A .22 caliber lever action rifles made in 1941. These are the last of the Marlin 39A rifles that have a case hardened receiver. Marlin did not make any rifles from 1942-44 because of the war and when they resumed in 1945 the recivers were blued. Both of these rifles have strong bluing on the barrel and as stated the receivers are case hardened. The stocks on both rifles are not perfect, meaning they have a few monor nicks and dings consistent with their age. One buttstaock has a couple small minor, cracks which have been repaired but I just want to be honest and forthcoming. These rifles from 1941 have significant value over other 39A’s because of the case-hardened receivers. The book value is about $800.00-$900.00 each. Because the stocks are not perfect, I am willing to sell each one for $675.00 each (you can choose which one you want) or, if you want to buy both, I will sell them as a pair for $1,200.00. Feel free to send me a fair and reasonable offer. Thank you.
