Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 in .308. The fiberglas stock is in the dark multi-cam. It is shown with one 20 rd Checkmate Mag. I have other mags still new in the plastic bag (ProMag 20 rd). Also has a Hi-Lux 2-7×32 Long Eye Relief scope with Quick Attach rings.
I haven’t had it out to shoot it in almost a year. I’ve been shooting its’ bigger brother (standard 22 in).
I traded for it some years back at the Lewistown Gunshow. I have no idea on past history. I have put a few hundred through it.
It has the SOCOM Gas Plug which is shorter and allows room if you wish to get the things necessary for direct thread suppressor. I have the Smith Enterprise threaded attachment for a suppressor. However, I would recommend the new one that Smith Enterprise came out with for the SOCOM 16. (Smith Enterprises is the company that built the Crazy Horse M14 for the GWOT)
