Kept going back and forth on selling this, but think I should. Very cool mosin, great shooter. Date and markings on the receiver show it was a 1894 Chatterault receiver, the captured by the austro-hungarian empire (during ww1), eventually made it’s way to Finland where it received the finnish upgrades and a nice tikka barrel. It is D marked which means the Finns set up the chamber specifically to shoot the 200gr d166 bullet better. Bore is excellent, as is metal condition. The little I shot it shows promise. Only spot of any damage is a small chip near the rear tang I glued back on with wood glue and gave a few passes of sandpaper to create room between the wood and tang. It’s about 1mm deep and not structural, rest of the stock is great and the Finns bedded them for improved accuracy.
$650. Can ship for an additional $30 to your door. Only trades I’d consider are a short, threaded .308, lever gun, nice glass, or a full steel 9mm (cz75 or beretta ideal – no turkish) or 32 acp ppk. I’ll be picky though as cash is greatly preferred. Trade value is a bit higher than $650.
