This rifle was made in 1894 by the French at the Châtellerault factory for the Russians. It has a Austro Hungarian capture mark on the receiver from the Styer factory that indicates that it was used and captured during World War 1. It made its way to Finnland where it was rebareled by Tika in 1940 which is a fair indicator that it was also used in The Winter War. It’s chambered in 7.62x54R and has great looking rifling. This rifle is in great condition especially considering it’s 132 years old.
