If you’ve been hunting with an old Traditions for Heritage season and want an upgrade, here it is. This was built by a gentleman in Maryland in 2011 from scratch, not a kit. The stock was done all by hand, topped off with a slow twist 42” Green Mountain barrel, and a Large Siler Deluxe lock.
The lock time is very fast, and is very reliable. I can send videos of it if you want. I’ve put around 50 shots through this rifle and I haven’t had more than 2 misfires I can remember. The gun is also very accurate and has shot 1” groups at 50 yards numerous times.
The only problem with this gun is that the stock has cracked, that said, it has been fixed very well with both very high quality glue and strong brass pins. No worries about it cracking again, but I will price it accordingly.
