125 years old, slam fires, great and always gets attention.
Not looking to sell-
However, here is my breakdown and what’s been done- Its a 1901 year to date mod 97 so figure a clean one would cost around 550-600 , the heat shield they have cheap 129 dollar ones you can find on eBay however, I learned the hard way they don’t work.
This shield was 350 an original one can fetch over 1k just for the shield and the cheap one doesn’t work. So best bang for buck it stays firm, won’t bend, doesn’t fly off like the cheep pos when slam firing and locks the bayonet in and easy transition off as it should.
The bayonet is a Remington 1917 bayonet that has the authentic ordnance stamp, the x mark for the change and test mark for armory/ along with the eagle crest.
It’s in great shape and only ever oiled never cleaned. Woods immaculate, etc. I believe they are going for right around 400 -450.
Seen some for more, some for less but
in a lot worse shape. The barrel has been cut, the shields have groves and the barrel has to be etched so three groves can fit the shield on correctly it’s a labor of love to say the least. Hands down the hardest part of the clone IMPO.
All that being said I’m trying to get as close to 1500 trade value. Obviously, an item is what someone is willing to pay/ accept. If there was an item not as much as what I’m asking trade value, I would accept straight across if that makes sense. Now if you have made it through this novel- trade interest below and can add to if needed on my end.
