I came by this old Winchester 14” octagonal barrel in a box of parts from a garage sale.
Best I can determine it’s off of an 1892 Winchester “Short Barrel” or “Trapper” model lever gun.
The barrel threads are in wonderful condition. There’s some rust corrosion under where the forestock and tube magazine would mount, but the remaining barrel is rust free.
The bore is excellent!
Naw, just kidding. The poor old boy appears to have been subjected to many years of black powder abuse. I cleaned it up enough so you can see what passes for rifling, but I’ve seen better roads in cobblestone dry river beds.
I have no other parts available to me. But if you’re interested in building an old wall hanger and would like this barrel, contact me with your phone number and we can talk.
