Browning BSS side-by-side in very solid condition. Classic upland gun with nice wood and clean lines. More photos available upon request – was only able to upload 12.
Barrels are in great shape with bright, clean bores. Action is tight with solid lockup. Checkering is sharp and the gun has been well cared for overall. Bluing is in good condition with only light handling wear in a couple spots pictured (behind trigger guard and near safety and on edges under forend). Otherwise bluing is immaculate.
Fixed chokes: Modified / Full. Factory auto safety.
There is a scratch in the finish near the toe of the stock and some normal wear on the tang/receiver from use. No cracks or structural issues—purely cosmetic.
Previous owner purchased new in 1976. Used it as a field gun and took great care of it. Great option for someone looking for a reliable SxS upland gun or to add a classic piece to the collection.
I am looking to trade this for a Browning Citori or Beretta 686 (or similar). Would like to give it a feel first and see how the specific gun dits. 12ga or 20ga considered, though 20ga is slightly preferred. Strong preference for removable chokes. Will also consider a nice, original m1 carbine or an m1a. Will include an old leather, leapord interior soft case. No Turkish guns.
