Raised the price just before I arrived to meet

Spoke on the phone and I agreed to give his full asking price as listed in his ad. I traveled about 30 miles to meet him.
5 minutes before I arrived he called to tell me someone else was offering more money and the price was going to be $200 higher.
I bought the item anyway because it was something I’d been looking for, for quite a while.
He said he was sorry he had to raise the price.
Saying “I’m sorry” doesn’t undo being unscrupulous.
