Montana Shooting Sports Association Legislative Briefing and Reception, January 4th, 2023
FWD: Dear MSSA Friends,
MSSA will host our usual Legislative Reception on Wednesday, January
4th, in cooperation with the National Rifle Association and the
National Shooting Sports Foundation. This reception will be held at
Jorgenson’s (now Ramada) Inn in Helena beginning at 6 PM. Food will
be available from a buffet, and there will be a cash bar.
You are invited too. This will be a great chance for you to mix and
mingle socially with legislators and discuss items on the MSSA
legislative agenda with them. For any of you with more travel
distance who may need to stay overnight, we have arranged a special
room rate with Jorgenson’s (406-442-1770). Just ask for the MSSA
rate.
To prepare you to have an informed discussion with legislators about
items on the MSSA legislative agenda, I will conduct a briefing for
you at Jorgenson’s starting at 3 PM. We will discuss each of these
measures in detail, including arguments to be made in favor. I expect
this to take about 90 minutes. I have reserved a meeting room at
Jorgenson’s for this purpose. Just ask at the front desk where this
room is.
MSSA’s legislative reception is typically the most well-attended such
event of the legislative session. It will be a great opportunity for
you to hang out with legislators and discuss MSSA issues in an
informal setting. I hope to see you there.
