Calling all serious collectors
Savage 1899 in .22 Savage Hi-Power
5 boxes of cartridges
Weaver scope, I’m guessing a K4
Manufactured in 1914 and purchased from Great Falls in 1915, barrel was replaced 1940’s, last used to take down a bull moose in the 1960’s
Stock has a crack which I understand to be very common with these
Needs to be cleaned but this is absolutely still a shooter; that being said, I encourage you to take it to a reliable smith, Dennis Olsen in Plains for example
I will need to see proof of MT residency and I will ask you to sign a bill of sale
Thanks for looking
