This pistol was produced in 2001 by Colt’s Custom Shop and was released to the civilian market. It was a reproduction of a parkerized WWII USGI M1911A1 Pistol. Close to 4,000 units would be produced before production ended in December of 2004. These pistols are parkerized with composite-style stocks. It features a W.B. inspector stamp on the left side below the slide stop, which is similar to what is found on a 1942 production M1911A1.
