Springfield Model 1884 (mfg. in 1883) 45-70 Trapdoor carbine. In remarkably good shape. This was purchased with a bunch of firearms and is the first one I’ve seen with the full-length stock. Bore is good and everything functions perfectly. Looks like someone “sporterized” this rifle a very long time ago as you can see on the stock and recoil pad (the rubber is very hard). I’ve included a lookup of the serial number showing date of manufacture.
