This “like new” 2017 left hand Proof Research Rifle is chambered in 28 Nosler with an 8.66 twist. This custom rifle is comprised of the receiver and 26 inch barrel of the Tundra Long Range Hunter, paired to the Lightweight Mountain Hunter stock. Rather than the standard bare metal, the bolt has a black DLC that makes the action super smooth. All metal is black and the stock is in Gray Granite (a color option no longer available). Proof worked up three loads ranging from 168 to 180 grain that all shoot less than .5 moa (targets with ballistic data included).
Comes with a laser-cut hardcase; bore guide; cleaning brushes and jag; Holland 3 port radial muzzle brake; rifle warranty and manual; barrel warranty, 125 once-fired brass; and 55 unfired 180 grain Berger hybrid custom loads per proof specs.
Identical rifle and extras today would run closer to 9K than to 8K, but I will sell for $6,300. If you would like a 2018 Nightforce NX8 4 x 32 x 50 mounted with Nightforce titanium rings it will be $1,700 extra.
This rife shoots like a peach, but elk hunting has become too hard since I got old and fat.
