Up for sale or trade is my Chinese Type 53 chambered in 7.62x54R. Its basically the Chinese equivalent of the Russian M44 carbine. Has a hinged bayonet, shortened stock and barrel (compared to the model 91/30) and is still chambered for the same big boy round. This one has a really great finish except for the bolt. The bolt has some pitting in a few places. Cleaned up well but the damage was done. Rifle has some typical dings and scratches – it was made in ’55. I’ve been torn about selling this but I don’t shoot it often and I want to pursue a few of my “grail guns.”
